I love many, I like the oldies, how it's called 60', 70' psychedelic age. XD I really like David Bowie, T.Rex, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Yes, Jethro Tull and more that I can't think of at the moment. I LOVE Tokio Hotel! ^^

What are yours favourite? :D

I went to see Crosby Stills Nash and Young a couple years ago. :)

I also tend to like a lot of older bands, although there is occasionally a modern one that catches my interest. And I like movie soundtracks and musicals (i.e. Wicked).

Omg, you two are like a combination of my favourite music.

Firstly, I adore musical theatre - especially Wicked (seeing it in two days!) but I also have a great love of older music from the 60's and 70's. My favourite bands are Queen and The Bonzo Dog DooDah Band. I also love The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Rod Stewart to name but a few...

Fiona Apple. No matter how many other artists I find, she is my perpetual favorite. I never get tired of listening to her.

Well, back at their peak of late 80's or so, Queensryche had the top singer: Geoff Tate.

"Take Hold of the Flame"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KTKx1zbN988

"Breaking the Silence of the Night"
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=43yV-0srhzw

So he's one of my all-time favorite vocalists.

Other's are Sammy Hagar (Van Halen; check out "A.F.U. (Naturally Wired)" ) and Roger Daltrey (The Who; check out "Won't Get Fooled Again"). Ian Gillan of Deep Purple could tear it up, too. (Check out "Space Truckin'", by Deep Purple) Those guys from back then set the standard. They knew how to put the passion into Rock, and how to make a song fun or moving or energetic, not to mention muscial and melodic.

Tina Turner, Janis Joplin, they knew how to belt out a tune. Today, the best vocalists are found in pop, as much as I hate to say it. Examples are Carrie Underwood, Mariah Carey, Christina Aguilera, etc. I don't much like their songs but they can sing.

Nowadays in rock it's all about the growly depressing stuff. Ugh. Rock is dead, or rather, dormant. What we have today is...I don't know what it is, but it's not the same breed.

Oh, I like The Who too, I love Deep Purple: Ian Gillan is very good. I know the music of Janis Joplin and Tina Turner! It's a good music...I don't really like it though. Yeah, about Mariah Carey, she can sing.

For nowdays I really like Tokio Hotel, except from that I agree with your opinion! ;)

My favorite bands are My Chemical Romance, Panic at the Disco, The Smashing Pumpkins, and Paramore. And I have been on this Katy Perry kick lately, and listening to the pop music I loved in junior high. :p

Katy Perry
Heh, I mostly find her annoying, but if I'm in a certain mood she's sorta annoying in a good way. I have been guilty of listening to her songs repeatedly on youtube. XD

She's pretty, even if she has weird fashion taste.

I have a very varied, but also at times a very strange, musical taste. Seriously, I suppose you could say that my favourite style, as in the one I listen to most and have the most cd's in, is gothic and every other style that can be associated with it.

But, in the early beginning, I was a rock chick and still love all kinds of rock music, both older and... hmm... newer. Don't really know much of any music that's been played recently on the radios. I don't have the time, nor the opportunity, to actually listen to the radio so I'm hopelessly behind.

My favourite bands are The Doors, and Omnia. The Doors don't really need an introduction, I assume.
Omnia is a Dutch group of musicians. Well, Dutch... Let's say international since the two original members have mixed backgrounds (Dutch-English, Dutch-Maori), and later additions are Irish and Belgian-Polish (I think). Only one member seems to be purely Dutch, lol. Anyways, their backgrounds don't really matter to me, it's the music they make that counts. They call themselves a Neo-Celthic Pagan Folk band and they're absolutely awesome! It was love at first sight when I accidentally discovered them, performing on a gothic festival in Germany. I've been a fan ever since.

Heh, when I tried to look up Omnia on YouTube, roughly half of the videos were related to some sort of cell phone device with the same name. But I did find a few of them. It's not what I usually listen to (not sure why, really) but I did like them. :)

I don't listen to the radio either. Don't have one set up that's easy to get to, actually, and even if I did have time, all the commercials are annoying.

Emmy: Aaah yes, that would most likely be Samsung. They do have a mobile phone by that name, and a fairly recent one as well. I've thought about buying it a couple of months ago but eventually went for another Samsung phone. One that had more pixels in the camera.

Anyhow... Omnia, as in the band, is the very reason why I started to explore more folk music. Haven't found anything as good as they are, so far, but then they really do have their own particular style. And that is a very good thing, in this case. They do have their own website, and I believe a page on My Space as well. I'll try to remember to post the link to their official website sometime soon.
Their performances are their greatest strength, really. There's always a lot of atmosphere when they're playing, and they know how to entertain their crowd. Unlike other groups, they actually sound great both on cd and live.

Ooh, I really loved Oasis as well! And The Beatles too, they're timeless. :D

Hmm, not too sure about Oasis actually being a tribute to The Beatles, but I do remember reading that the Gallagher brothers consider The Beatles as their example, and that they were big fans.
