These books are really beatiful and we shouldn't forget to the quotes here.
'Frodo! Mr. Frodo, my dear!' cried Sam, tears almost blinding him. 'It's Sam, I've come!' He half lifted his master and hugged him to his breast. Frodo opened his eyes.
'Am I still dreaming?' he muttered. 'But the other dreams were horrible.'
'You are not dreaming at all, Master,' said Sam. 'It's real. It's me, I've come.'
So touched...^__^

Hmmm...
I usually really like all the passages that are related to describing nature, and that kind of thing. For example, I just saw this in The Hobbit and thought it was spectacular:
long ago in the quiet of the world, when there was less noise and more green
Also, I've always liked the song Frodo sings for Gandalf ("When evening in the shire was grey...); I actually used to know it by heart.

My favourite book lines have to be the poem for Aragorn and The Road goes ever on.
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost,
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows will spring,
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be King.
The road goes ever on and on,
Down from the door where it began,
Now far ahead the road has gone,
And I must follow if I can.
Pursuing it with eager feet,
Until it joins some larger way,
Where many roads and errands meet,
And whither then? I cannot say.

I like the quote:
Strider: I can avoid being seen if I wish. But to disappear entirely, that is a rare gift.
Frodo: Who are you?
Strider: Are you frightened?
Frodo: Yes.
Strider: Not nearly frightened enough. I know what hunts you.
As Elven said, I love the poem:
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost,
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.
From the ashes a fire shall be woken,
A light from the shadows will spring,
Renewed shall be blade that was broken,
The crownless again shall be King.
Its just beautiful ^^

PiRaTeGiRl - you probably realized this by now, but this is actually for quotes from the books. Movie quotes go in this thread (http://www.hobbitforums.com/showthread.php?t=28).
Anyway, I think this quote from Gimli is nice, in a sad sort of way:
"Well, farewell, my hobbits! You should come safe to your own homes now, and I shall not be kept awake for fear of your peril. We will send word when we may, and some of us may yet meet at times; but I fear that we shall not all be gathered together ever again."

Thanks to Emmie for redirecting me here. :)
A quote from Aragorn:
I have had a hard life and a long; and the leagues that lie between here and Gondor are a small part in the count of my journeys. I have crossed many mountains and many rivers, and trodden many plains, even into the far countries of Rhun and Harad where the stars are strange.
If Gondor, Boromir, has been a stalwart tower, we have played another part. Many evil things there are that your strong walls and bright swards do not stay. You know little of the lands beyond your bounds. Peace and freedom, do you say? The North would have known them little but for us. Fear would have destroyed them. But when dark things come from the houseless hills, or creep from sunless woods, they fly from us. What roads would any dare to tread, what safety would there be in quiet lands, or in the homes of simple men at night, if the Dunedain were asleep, or were all gone into the grave?
And yet less thanks have we than you. Travelers scowl at us, and countrymen give us scornful names. “Strider” I am to one fat man who lives withing a day’s march of foes that would freeze his heart, or lay his little town in ruin, if he were not guarded ceaselessly. Yet we would not have it otherwise. If simple folk are free from care and fear, simple they will be, and we must be secret to keep them so. That has been the task of my kindred, while the years have lengthened and the grass has grown.

I really like this quote :D
"Well, here is the strangest riddle that we have yet found!" exclaimed Legolas. "A bound prisoner escapes both from the Orcs and from the surrounding horsemen. Then he stops, while still in the open, and cuts his bonds with an orc-knife. But how and why? For if his legs were tied, how did he walk? And if his arms were tied, how did he use the knife? And if neither were tied, why did he cut the cords at all? Being pleased with his skill, he then sat down and quietly ate some waybread! That at least is enough to show that he was a hobbit, without the mallorn-leaf. After that, I suppose, he turned his arms into wings and flew away singing into the trees. It should be easy to find him: we only need wings ourselves!"

Ha-ha, yeah Legolas sometimes does have a sense of humor. He's OK, for an elf.
