I so want to read this book right now:

http://www.chroniclebooks.com/index/main,book-info/store,books/products_id,7847/title,Pride-and-Prejudice-and-Zombies/

Pride and Prejudice combined with zombies has to be, like, the most spectacular idea ever.

Unfortunately, lots of other people seem to think it's going to me amazing, too, and I'm number 140 out of 200 on my library's waiting list - and I've already been waiting two weeks or so; I was just reminded of it now by a random thing I saw on another site.

And then I see here (http://www.slashfilm.com/2009/02/09/hollywood-studios-bidding-for-pride-and-prejudice-and-zombies/) that movie studios are already bidding on film rights for it. Wow.

Never heard of that before, sounds awesome!(and so strange, haha)

I'll have to have a look in the local bookstore for it.

Do I sense the imminent release of prideandprejudiceandzombiesforums.com? :D

Seriously though, it does sound interesting.

Fortunately, my library has a surprisingly large number of copies (around 50) so I may get it before too much longer. It's turning out to be more popular than I ever imagined it would be when I first heard about it.

It's going to be funny if they actually end up making a film, though. :D

If just started reading it. It's hilarious! My favourite quote so far is this one:

“You mistake me, my dear. I have a high respect for your nerves. They are my old friends. I have heard of little else these last twenty years at least.”
Mr. Bennet

I was so excited when I saw this at the front of the bookstore I work in.

I haven't started Pride and Prejudice and Zombies yet, but if you like that twisted sort of humor y'all might also go for Breathers: A Zombies Lament by S.G. Browne. It's a dark romantic comedy set in a support group for the "spontaneously ressurected."
