Date for start of Hobbit shoot announced!

That's about a month later than previous estimates, I think, but it's still extremely exciting to have an official date!

Well, IMDB lists the release date of the first movie as December 19th 2012. I'm not sure if that's been confirmed or not, but it's about what I would have guessed anyway, since the Lord of the Rings films were released on December 19 2001, December 18 2002, and December 2003 and I think they're going for the same time slot.

In any case, we have less than two years to wait! :)
