So does anyone know what the casting status is?

I noticed that there haven't been posts on this board for over a month.... which says alot about the lack of casting info lately. I seem to remember reading a while ago that casting is underway but nothing since then, not even any rumors. So what's up with it? I guess they are still in the middle of the process? Can someone who has been keeping a closer eye on the news fill me in maybe?

All I know is that they are currently building the Hobbiton set in Matamata.

I've read, that Cate Blanchett and Hugo Weaving will return for the Hobbit movie...that's a good new. ^^ But no one knows Bilbo's actor for example...that's all I know.

I heard many people saying the address given online might not be correct, so I decided to wait for a bit. But I still haven't found another address, so I'm going to send it in to that one and hope for the best.


According to a friend, who works as a security guard on the hobbiton set, actual filming won't begin for another 9 months...

Very good news indeed, Clarett! Hugo Weaving for sure, though I don't really remember Galadriel appearing in The Hobbit. Ah well, if they're going to put her in there, she should be played by Cate in any case.

And, I'm still hoping for a return of Aragorn as well, but only on the condition it'll be Viggo.
