View Full Version : Lord of the Rings Online Guild!
Okay I have ordered all 3 games, I lost my old ones so I'm going to start a fresh and make a new character etc. I was just wondering if anyone on the forums who has the EU version would like to come and make a guild with me and play through some of the content. I have no intention to hardcore play, this more aimed at social levelling with a bit of exploration added into it :)

You bought them all over? Couldn't they try to dig up your old account data then, and reactivate that? I believe you can download the client from their website...
Not sure who else around here is from Europe, or on the European servers in LotRO. I am on the EU-server in any case, but I'm already a member of a kinship.
An online friend of mine created it, and another online friend was officer there as well, so it's a bit hard for me to bail out on them since I consider both of them good friends. Also, I became an officer only recently there as well.
If you'd like, you could always come and join us? The kinship is named Guardians of the Light, and we're on the Eldar server. There's room for all types of players in there, and they don't expect you to join in raids or other stuff. Casual players are also welcomed cordially. I'm like that as well, for one. When I first joined there, I found everyone to be very helpful and kind, and that hasn't changed. Think about it, and send me an ingame mail or so if you're interested? But, no pressure, lol. Please don't feel as if you're obligated or anything.
Well the main reason I started fresh with new game is that when the game first came out me and & friend shared the account.
I will make a character on Eldar tonight and try find you Lanyare, should be fun playing with somebody from the community :)

Awesome, Sam! My main character is Lanyare, but admittedly, it's been a fair while since I last played her. Other characters are Nathrondi and Alyssah. Off late, they get the most playtime.
Lan's far ahead of everyone else of my characters, and I'm currently trying to spread out the rest a bit more. Nathrondi and Alyssah are the ones that got most playtime, for now. But Lanyare's the officer. We need to be online at the same time for me to be able to send you an invite, so do let me know your character name as well. That way I can add you to my friends list.
I'm one hour ahead of you, so possibly I won't be on anymore if you log on late-ish, but I took the day off tomorrow.

What class are you planning to play this time, Sam? :)
I wish I could join the two of you, but even if I did have the time, I don't live in Europe.

That's the one downside on LotRO, I think, the fact that servers are entirely separated. I know a couple of Americans who play this game as well, and I'd really love to be able to play with them sometimes. But it's just not possible. :(

Yeah, that's true - though I think a lot of online games work that way. World of Warcraft does, at least.

Perhaps I am too used to Guild Wars... It's a free to play online MMO, though not your typical MMO. You buy the game, but afterwards you don't have to bother about subscriptions. Grinding is - mostly - only optional. But serverwise, I can jump to American districts, and back again, whenever I want to.
Very easy. No people online in European districts? With just a couple of mouse clicks I can check out if anyone's awake in America. :p

Ah, Guild Wars... I remember we were talking about this before. It's a game I really have been interested in for a long time, if only because it looks pretty from what I've seen, but I still haven't found the time to boot up in Windows download that demo. But I'm going to. Soon.
I've hit a stage where gaming just tires me now, have I offically turned into an old man?!!

Lol, Sam, you're only as old as you feel. :p
Truth be told, my head's not always into gaming as well and then I just skip an evening or a couple, depending on how much my head's not into it.
Also, if you always play the same thing, I suppose you can grow tired of it.
Wouldn't worry too much about becoming an old man, if I were you. Even if I don't know your real age.
Yeah I have taken a break from MMO's at the moment, I just don't have the time anymore. I have gone back to my roots and play the good old FPS games that don't require hours of play.
By the way I'm 22, its all down hill from here! haha :P

*gasps*
Oh... Lol... If you are starting to feel old at only 22, I really am not sure what to say to that. Seeing as I'm older. Before you ask: I'm 30. Found myself hopping on to the magical line 3 earlier this year.
